Nicole Cameron, Director of Workforce Development
Ms. Cameron has over 20 years of progressive higher education experience and has worked in many areas of student affairs and student services. She has advanced her career as a GED Facilitator to the Dean of Student Development. In 2011, she was appointed as co-chair for the College's accreditation self-study and in 2014, she received the "Executive Administrator of The Year" award for her commitment to serving in that role. Ms. Cameron obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia State University and Masters of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Akron as well as successful completion of trainings in Administrator Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation, Equity and Diversity, and Trauma Informed Care. Her professional philosophy is based on a belief that education and training is vital to developing a well trained workforce by ensuring that every adult gains the skills, experiences, and support that will empower them to reach their potential. Therefore, it is critical that quality workforce opportunities are designed to develop and cultivate a sense of belonging for the entire community while maintaining a high level of accountability and support to improve the overall training experience for all stakeholders. Ms. Cameron currently serves as the Vice-President of the Baltimore-Metro Alumni Chapter for Virginia State University Alumni Association and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Rho Xi Omega Chapter in Baltimore, Maryland. |
