Help the Greater Baltimore Urban League in ensuring Orchard Street Church remains as a cornerstone in the community. In 1992, the Orchard Street Church, the oldest standing structure in Baltimore built by African-Americans, was given new life as the headquarters of the Greater Baltimore Urban League. Twenty-three years later, the church is still the hub of the community and needs your help to create a state of the art facility for our next generation of leaders. Weather, time, and even vandalism have left their marks on the building, hindering its ability to continue its celebrated history of public service and advocacy. With your help, GBUL can repair the damage and establish a reserve fund to ensure the Orchard Street Church’s permanence as a community building.
We are asking you support this ongoing campaign by purchasing one or more engraved brick(s). Proceeds from the sale of the brick will go toward the Orchard Street Building Campaign.
The brick(s) may carry your name or the name of your choice- your ancestor(s), family, graduates, friends, organization, or alumni. Each brick is priced at $150 for a 4” by 8” or $200 for an 8” by 8”. Each brick can contain a maximum of 3 lines per brick with a maximum of 20 characters per line.
The brick wall is located on the front of the historic Orchard Street Church directly on Orchard St.
